Go Green!

Go Green!

It's Spring! And what color represents Spring more than any other? GREEN! (Can you tell we're enthusiastic about green? It's our signature color for a reason.)

For a whimsical cocktail soiree for Groupon, the company that features a daily deal on the best stuff to do, see, eat, and buy in more than 500 markets and 44 countries, we recently created very simple arrangements using the limited palette of spring greens and white for a fresh, crisp look. (Their signature color is green, too. Go figure.) Wheat grass in white glass vases adorned some tables, while others had green Cymbidium orchids in clear glass lined with variegated leaves.

Here's another version of our favorite greens, with a touch of color added. ForĀ  a dinner at the Four Seasons Hotel for Cedars Sinai, we grouped more of the green Cymbidium orchids in a glass vase along with Aspidistra leaves, pistachio green hydrangea and caramel " Combo" roses.

Using green linens is an even more effective way to enhance the fresh feel of flowers for events. This event at Hillcrest Country Club (below) used a sage green silk tablecloth to offset the beauty of mixed white and green arrangements featuring three different types of orchids.
