One of the most elegant palettes for any floral design is classic white. Combined with lush shades of green and champagne to add dimension and depth, white denotes purity and timeless chic, and is a favorite for brides of all kinds. For her recent wedding at the Ritz Carlton, Marina del Rey, our bride Michelle chose this lovely color theme and the results were spectacular!
Here we have the ceremony gazebo, which was covered in roses, hydrangeas, lisianthus, stock, and an abundance of greenery. The six columns supporting the gazebo were wound with a garland of ivy, lemon leaf and seeded eucalyptus.
For the guest book table, we created a duo of arrangements in gold vases, which was later moved to the place card table after the ceremony. Re-purposing flowers from ceremony to reception is a great way to stretch your budget!
Once inside the reception, we used tall gold pedestals with battery-operated candles to showcase a beautiful, lush display of flowers for the centerpiece. The trend now is toward more airy, loose design instead of the very compacted arrangements we've seen over the past ten years or so.
Little details add up to a big impact, so don't forget to add them in unusual ways. Here we have a single, opened rose on every menu card at the dining tables. A pretty and inexpensive way to add an elegant touch to the table.
When we have the official pics back from the photographer, we'll update with photos of the bridal and bridesmaid's bouquets!
